Sustainable development in practice - modernization of Nomet facilities
In consideration of the natural environment and the efficiency of production processes, Nomet constantly undertakes actions for sustainable development. One of the key projects in this regard was the improvement of the energy efficiency of our facilities in Toruń, carried out in cooperation with Siemens.
What have we achieved?
The effects of the modernization are impressive and bring benefits for both the environment and our operations:
- reduction of energy consumption by over 16% annually – thanks to the implementation of modern solutions, we have reduced our energy demand, saving natural resources,
- reduction of carbon footprint by around 19% – in the area of the energy infrastructure of the facilities, we have achieved a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions, contributing to environmental protection,
- improvement of production process efficiency – modernization has positively impacted the quality and speed of order fulfillment while reducing energy consumption,
- modernization of infrastructure – the application of modern technologies and management systems has allowed the full adaptation of our facilities to contemporary standards,
- introduction of a Building Management System (BMS) – it enables intelligent management of infrastructure and energy consumption, ensuring even greater operational efficiency.
